Scratch removal?

Just went out in the Taco to do some exploring and had to keep the foot down in a couple of sandy areas to keep from bogging down. Off course, those were the areas that had overhanging branches.

So I have a few scratches on the body work (inc body-colored plastic bits such as wing mirrors). I hit them once with some Turtle Wax which helped, but they can still be seen at an angle.

Any tips on good products/methods for 100% fix?

 

for me, I use 1 Grand, now for a sctatch that it through to the paint that is another story.
I run through prarie grass alot, along with small saplings and they play havic with the front bumper, my skip plate looks like something from the 60's when I get home. The 1 Grand removes everything off the paint, now this is just me and my opinion, and I know FOR SURE you will get alot more ideas/advice from people here.

I used Meguires Scratch-X with pretty good results. If the scratches are in the clearcoat it will help, but if they're deeper - it won't do much.

i recomend trying the listed products above if they dont work then u can wet sand them out with 2000 grit and then buff out with compound then buff with polishing glaze. however i am a professional so it is easy for me to say to do this. u could just take it to a shop and they will do it for u.

 

also u might wanna try some rubbing compound. as long as you cant drop your nail into it they will come out.

 

Great thread. I've got some tree / briar racing stripes on my black taco. A few have scraped through to white - ugh.

I've got a good scratch on my hood from a dirty automated car wash and the detail shop, of course, was not liable.

 

I have a few scratches on my front bumper from someone hitting me in a parking lot. The paint was scratched off and there is a gouge in the plastic. What is the best way 2 fix.
