Hey guys, just failed PA state inspection for a hole in my muffler. Looks like I need to replace it. I found a Bosa on Amazon for about 120 all in.. it doesn't come with the intermediary pipe. Do I need to get one and use a clamp to hold it all together? I just need this to pass inspection. Thanks!

I was told a factory Toyota muffler was 500 bucks at the dealer. When I regained consciousness, I went generic.

Same! I just put the whole kit together at advanced auto parts for 120. Muffler, intermediate, bolts and all!

Mine was just under 500 with gasket and hardware. I swapped it out in about an hour. 4

The factory one lasted 12 years. Never had an aftermarket one last that long. Especially the ones that are thrown up and poorly welded.

I'd rather not be doing an exhaust every 2-3 years.

Whatever you decide, good luck.

Thanks, yeah I only put about 2500 miles per year on the tacoma now since I have a work truck, so I figure even an inexpensive one should last a while

My bosal exhaust is about a year old and already rusting here in northern California where hardly anything rusts. I'm looking for an OEM exhaust too. Plus the Bosal ones sound really "breathy" if you know what I mean. I like the OEM sound much better.

Place a WTB ad in the BST forum specifying location and how far you are willing to drive to pick up.

AFAIK all 2nd gen years with your configuration should fit.

Someone wants to clean out their garage because they've installed a 'performance' system.
