    Interesting.

    So last week the wife’s hair dryer popped it’s circuit breaker. Not the gfi.
    Then it did it immediately Friday. Swapped to the other plug in and no issue.
    Mmmmmm

    So today I changed out the gfi plug..

    Put it in the sink and this came out of it..

    I'm no electrician but I do know you're right. I also know some of the new gfi's we got at work are crap, but they haven't done that.
