    Hi All,

Still new to understanding wiring, but I'm getting there.

I have some LEDglow footwell lights that I want to connect to a CH4x4 "footwell light" switch I got recently. And, I also want the footwell lights to come on as courtesy lights when I approach/unlock my TRD sport.

Based on the expertise of the community, what's the best way for me to make sure I can do both?

Pretty much the same thing - just a single color set and no cigarette lighter piece (free standing black and red wires).

What CH4x4 switch do you have?

Push Switch that I'll install with a new three-switch option panel (replacing the little cubby hole thing).

Wiring for the push switch is the usual: red 1, red 2, green, and black

You'll be controlling the ground side of the added foot led's.
You need to have an always "hot" fused source for the led which will be shared with the switch also.
Battery - fuse - Y to LED and to switch - switch to relay pin1 (coil), when switch selected grounds relay coil and switch ground source for led. When switch not pressed, LED ground is controlled by illumination circuit of vehicle. Do not add any more LED to circuit unless an add an additional relay.

Thanks so much! I'm going to try the first option - the second image for the first option helps a lot.

Also, if I just recently set up my rock lights to a different CH 4x4 switch and relay. Is there any way I can "tap in" or connect my footwell light set up to what I've done in this sketch (please excuse me for how basic this looks).

So you want the rock lights on whenever you have the footwell lamps on also?

The foot lamps will have their own separate ch4x4 switch. So switching them on/off with a button I want to be separate from the other rock light ch4x4. As for both coming on with the dome light for instance, I'm okay with that.

It would be better managed if you use a SPDT switch, ON-OFF-ON. (DOOR-OFF-ON)

Oh - you're absolutely right. I could order a couple of those today instead of the push switches I've got. Thank you for your help, I appreciate it a lot.

Sorry to hijack the thread but would the relays/fuses in this drawing be utilization of existing or newly added? I’ve been looking into this exact topic too but wanted to tie exterior lights into the Meso puddle pod setup (with the Meso switch) and interior LEDs to work without one (ie comes on auto with the car).
