Timbren Active Off-Road Bumpstops with our U-Bolt Flip Kit. We get questions frequently about the advantages of running our U-Bolt Flip Kit with Bumpstops. So, we decided to take the conversation to the forums! + We know there are some threads chatting about this already, so we will try and chime in there as well!

Before we jump in, if you're not familiar with our Active Off-Road Bumpstops, here is a brief overview.
    -
"Our Bumpstop kits fit just about every year and model Tacoma + Toyota Pickup. The Active Off-Road Bumpstops offer you greater control over your vehicles’ suspension travel. Using progressive-rate springs means that instead of a hard stop at the end of axle travel the axle energy will be absorbed when bottoming-out producing smooth, predictable and quiet axle engagement and disengagement.

Unlike the OEM bumpstops, Timbren uses superior natural rubber compound ensuring the Active Off-Road Bumpstops will continue to operate even after a lifetime of off-road abuse. Similar to our Timbren SES line (built for towing and hauling), Active Off-Road Bumpstops carry a lifetime warranty and a satisfaction guarantee.

The ABSTRFK replaces the rear bumpstops on the Toyota Tacoma. Included in this kit is a U-Bolt flip kit to allow for more ground clearance, which is what we're here to chat about today!"
    -

Here are a few pros on our U-Bolt Flip Kit, that we hope help answer some questions:
    - Added clearance
    - Removes the OEM Bumpstops off the frame
    - Deletes the OEM U-Bolts that hang below the axle
    - Yes, we provide the whole kit, including new U-Bolts
    - Maximize Axle Travel
    - Smooth Axle Engagement & Disengagement
    - Enhance Suspension Performance
    - Progressive Spring Rate
    - Absorbs Energy & Cushions Road Shocks
    - Stronger Than OEM Bumpstops
    - Easy Installation
    - Satisfaction Guarantee
    - Lifetime Warranty

We hope this helps! Share your Timbren equipped rig and let us know what you think + if you have any questions! Here to help. *We attached a few photos for visual effect!

If you already have a lift is there any measuring to be done before ordering after market bumpstops such as yours?

For Tacomas no, our kits will fit on even stock hight Tacomas! Of course the higher your truck is lifted the more insignificant your OEM bumpstops will be, so going aftermarket such as our Timbren kit will get you where you want to be. Is your truck stock hight now or lifted?

2.5-3 inch lift. I was told by a shop, I haven't used, that you have to measure for bumpstops and it didn't seem right.

Nice! Good size lift. What suspension did you go with? We always recommend our most popular, Double Convoluted bumpstops which would be a perfect fit with your size lift and really any lift. What size tires are you running?

    Hello!

    I'm in a 2016 Tacoma and BP51's. Looking for a front/back + ubolt flip kit.
Looking at these pictures, the bump stops seem pretty big - am i technically losing any travel by using these?

Technically speaking you aren't losing any travel. They are built to flex when "squished".

Too many to list. I’m lazy
Sorry if this is mentioned elsewhere. I have looked but am I able to find the answer I am looking for. I am considering this kit but can’t find anywhere how long the provided ubolts are. How long are they? And if not long enough for my needs, do you have an option for longer bolts?

Sorry it has taken me awhile to answer this. Post Holidays has been crazy around here. We are currently using 7 3/4" u-bolts but we are actively working towards switching to a 9" u-bolt.

    Hi,
I'm looking to pull the trigger on your timbren active off road bump stops with the flip kit for my '19 TRD OR DCSB.
Everyone I spoke to said to me that it will be bouncy and have a stiff ride. I have 1.5" Icon 3 pack add a leaf and a 2" lift in the font with my eibach 2.0 coilovers.

I plan to tow 4 to 5000 pounds 6-8 time a year light travel trailer. I carry daily 3-400 lbs

I don't want a flashback ride of my 1st gen

    What do you suggest?

If you are planning to tow we would recommend our SES system. It's designed to be there when you need the support and not active when unloaded. Check it out - Click Here

If I choose to go SES can I swap the bump stop for the activ one?
I would order the active one and buy the SES after.
Because I tow do you recommend not doing the flip kit?
