My 2018 JBL radio liner inside around the screen is messed up. The dealership will probably need to swap it out for new radio under warranty. I was wondering if the 2020 JBL radio is compatible? maybe a upcharge? I know the dimensions are the same just not sure about harnesses and software.

I've heard people doing that with other manufactures like Chevy.

    Thanks

Harness is not the same, there is one vendor that’s selling a conversion (I seem to remember it included the HU as well), you’ll need to search the forum for info.

You should be talking to the dealership or see if they would work out a deal with a local installer.

I doubt it. New JBL is attached to a cell sim card that is also attached to the sos overhead button and possibly antenna.
