Hey all! Hope everyone is doing well. Truck will be rolling through the area so if you see it, wave. I'll (hopefully) be asleep going through there with dad in the pilot seat, maybe he'll wave back. Road tripping out west.

@GilaTrails spent much time on the trails around Sedona/Flagstaff? If so, favorites, must do's, things to look out for? Good places to eat that may be open?

Palatki Ruins is pretty decent area. Ive got some other areas marked but I’d have to check to see what they are called for sure

Okay. We see a lot of good options in that area. If you could DM when you find them that would be great!

While we are on the topic anyone know some good trails in the northeast? I’m headed up to Maine soon because the 3 other summer jobs I had all got cancelled because of the virus.... I’m headed to Cleveland then probably driving along the lake to Buffalo then Albany and finally ending up at a camp just north of Portland.

Pick up this book. It’s well worth it

Guide to Arizona Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails 2nd Edition https://www.amazon.com/dp/1934838195/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_65x8EbA811KFJ

Or you can check out what’s around on their website. There is tons of detail on all the trails and areas

Oh sounds like your in for a lot of fun! Getting a subscription to https://www.trailsoffroad.com may be handy for you. Even the free version is helpful. Summer gets very crowded on the trails up in the Sedona/Flagstaff area, atleast expect it. If you haven't seen the Grand Canyon, it's a must see, the North Rim is much less crowded.

North rim is so much better The south rim is a zoo

plus from there you can head north to capitol reef and other places. And there’s lots of dispersed camping in kaibob

    Hear that.

Much stupidity when I'm dealing with folks from the upper Midwest.
