Anyone ever rebuild a Hydro-Gear 2800 or similar? I have a Hustler mower with 7 years of hard use that I'm hoping to get through the summer before either rebuilding or replacing one of the transmissions. It doesn't seem economical to spend almost $1000 on a 7yr old mower, so I'll most likely try to rebuild myself. Just wondering how difficult it is. It seems fairly simple, but I know looks can be deceiving.
