Hello guys everyone has been super helpful and knowledgeable in the past so thought I'd give it another shot been looking for a tacoma now for about 2 months and I've found this one but don't really understand the most recent service record https://www.toyota.com/owners/my-vehicle/service-history but here's the link or the vin is
5TEUU42NX9Z627291 if you wanted to do you own look because it says "customer declined service" for a lot of major things in 2020 now to me that sounds like it needs to be done and wasn't done but maybe if someone more knowledgeable could weigh in that'd be super helpful

I haven't plug in the vin. But there's a good chance they declined a bunch of fluff....like injector service and other things that are expensive and sometimes unnecessary. Also...maybe the PO knew they would be selling/trading the rig soon and thought no sense in spending money that I don't need to

Can you make a screen shot of it.
I really don’t want to make a burner email to sign up and look at it.

i defitanly see red flags as it relates to the steering rack and timing cover. neither is a cheap repair.

Probably cause he was trading it and didn't want to do all that shit, dealers recommend stuff off of millage intervals. Doesn't mean the guy had to go ahead with it. Some things on there that ide look at though, like why they want to replace the rack, also from the notes it seems like he took shit care of his truck.

I decline a lot of stuff.
Then go home and do it myself.

Thank Goodness for “Oil Change Specials ”
Sorry, to all you Tech Guys,
I’ve totally taken advantage of your “free inspection”
Except, you didn’t get paid for the repairs.

I do not have an excuse for not doing my own inspection.
A lot has to do with time management.
Never have been good with that.

My service record doesn't show anything that I refused to let them do. They love to offer to change the cabin filter for a $50 charge.

The dealer I had used for a long time would adjust your headlights for free whenever you asked. At the one I use now I asked them to adjust them up a little for me. Well, they buried them in the ground, literally shining 15 feet at most in front of the truck. Noticed they didn't bother to list that in there either and charged me $45 to do it. I found out at 5am the next morning when I left for work.

I almost wonder if they had a grudge against the vehicle owner. That seems like a lot of crap for a vehicle with that many miles on it. Also how did they determine those were the original spark plugs without removing them? Must have been trying hard for some service work. Something seems off in that report.

I swear they have a bin full of leaves back there to throw on the filters when they bring them out to show you. Around here there's always at least one leaf on the filter. Funny thing is it's not a leaf from the tree I park near at all.

I think that report an the very end says there was a frame replacement and some of the other things were recommended with the replacement

Just because they declined it at the dealer does not mean the work wasn't done. Perhaps they or an independent shop did the work at a lower cost

my last one they actually went the opposite route and said both filters were good. turned out they were both full of fiberglass insulation and were never checked.

Recommending steering rack, power steering hose, and timing belt cover replacement at the same time makes me wonder if the tech saw signs of fluid leakage and decided to throw the parts cannon at it to fix the leak.
