So I've been looking for a good aftermarket Apple Carplay head unit to go into a 2015 Tacoma... I'm thinking the Alpine Halo 9 with it nice big screen will be great but I have two choices:

    ILX-F259 - This unit costs $600 + $80 for installation gear.

    ILX-F309 - This unit costs $1000 + $225 for installation gear.

The main difference I've been able to see between the two is I would get a iDatalink Maestro with ILX-F309. I guess this Maestro unit makes it so I can use all the factory buttons and stuff with the new head unit. Is this worth over $500 extra? (I will take possession of the 2015 Tacoma tomorrow so I don't have any experience with it yet, I am hoping someone who has owned a Tacoma for awhile might have a better idea whether this is worth it)
