I didn't know they made spacers that big! Here's the stance of mine with 285/75/16 on stock OR wheels with 1.25" spacers. Mine stick out just barely. So far no problems.

Breaking multiple studs doesn't make the person incompetent. It only takes one to fail to bring the house down. Domino effect.

not ideal yes. But over torque is over torqued, it’ll snap a stud on a hub as well as a stud on a spacer, all things being equal. only difference is the studs on many / most spacers are shit quality compared to OEM, so they can’t stand even the correct torque. It’s a quality issue,
I’ve had 4” spacers on the rear axle on my 1ton for over 100k miles and that’s a 10k lbs vehicle. That’s a Dana 60 full floater axle on a 4x4 conversation and take a beating with towing / hauling and orrroad. I needed to bring the rear track to the front track so I can run same offset wheels. If I had a choice, or opted to replace the stock Dana for a ford 10” rear axle I’d have not used a spacer. But needs and $$$ dictated, But I speked them, and had them custom machined as I didn’t trust any “off the shelf” company to do it correctly.
