I’ve blown a 12 inch sub on a 500 watt amp twice now. It sits on the larger end behind the passenger seats in the cab. I want to spend some time making my truck sound glorious again. So I’m looking for ideas.

I am Curious what TW has out there!

Is the subwoofer rated for 500 rms watts? I have a Kicker CompRT 43CWRT122 in a sealed box behind the driver's side cubby powered by a Pioneer GM-D9701 at 4ohms. I would contact @Mr Marv and have a custom box built for your needs.

Yes it’s rated for that much but I believe in blew out because of the sub constantly hitting the back of the seat. Thanks for all the info I will contact him.

I added 3/8 bearing spacers along with longer bolts for the seats. The plastic backs are also removed. I have clazzio seat covers so you don’t notice the missing plastic.
