For sure going to have to take the bottom in a bit more and angle it. Let me know what you think. Painted everything for now until plates get made. Gotta get it perfect. The wifes 4-runner is next. Was told to practice on Mine115BABF0-1D91-4B12-8D7C-D3786CF06115.jpg 26F64D47-6FE2-4F3D-8461-39F669595EB5.jpg first lol

    Nice work. If you don’t need much more than that then you are lucky! I had to take mine past the fire wall.

    Ideally I really want to do the relocation. Should've done it from the start. Cutting with 4.5" angle grinder and diamond wheel took awhile... No one could pay me enough to do it lol

    Does it matter about pounding the pinch welds toward you or to the inner fender well? Has anyone just cut off the pinch welds and smooth everything?

    Direction shouldn't really matter, but personally I folded them inward so that all the dirt and shit that collects won't be visible. My un-educated opinion is that I think cutting them off is just asking for the weld to separate the seam to leak. Also I think that's a lot more work with no additional benefit and more risk of problems as compared to just pounding them flat.

    @Kailuayota
    Being a quality engineer in the automotive industry. I deal with these types of pinch welds on a daily basis. Cutting the pinch weld is not a good idea. It may cause the 3 panels welded together to separate. I beat mine towards the outside of the truck. There is more space to flatten it more that direction.
