    I have had a few cats disappear :(
    The ones I, or the neighbor kids didnt find on the side of the road (HATE this stupid f'n road in my front yard!)
    ...I like to think they just went native out back.

    There is a pair of red tailed hawks that live on the ridge across the road just to the west of us.
    They hunt this valley and they were training their young on simba who was out in the middle of my neighbors manicured front yard hunting gophers.
    I was watching in case I had to intervene, they got close...
    Wasnt too worried about simba, hes used to defending against maligator, and we have this V for vendetta feud thing going on between the blue jays and my cats that has been going on for generations ever since one of my cats killed one of their young so hes used to being harassed from above & was hyper aware being out in the open during the day like he was,
    more concerned for the young hawks well being...


    Its a legitimate thing man!
    Been doing it my whole life.

    Even have a dedicated cat fishing rod,,,
    5' diawa ultralite rod, shimano reel, 8lb spiderwire mono.
    The lure is one of those dollar store meeces.
    Works awesome!
    Superfun if you have young kids and a tolerant cat.

    Works for dogs too!
    Btw,
    Cody is pissed at me now lol

    Left it on the table at the workstation out in the garage the other morning with the lure a couple inches off the floor so the new kitties could keep playing, came in the house to grab coffee, came back out to a computer disaster, shit everywhere, the rod on the other end of the table and orange kitty had the fishing line around its neck and was doing spirals on its hind legs!

    Thats why practice and spring assisted knife.

    Couldnt cut that line fast enough!
    Never again unsupervised cat fishing.

    That's a horrible idea. What time?
    My heart sank for a moment when I saw this. This is Squeak. We lost her about a year and half ago at 18 yrs old. She was my first cat rescue, and a real sweetheart.
