    Hi guys,

Before I had UCAs, my alignment shop had to max out caster on the LCAs to get caster in a reasonable range, around +2 deg. I am running 35s and wanted that +3-4 deg. I bolted the SPC UCAs onto my truck in the neutral position (+2 deg) and went to a reputable alignment shop that is known to be good with lifted Tacomas.

They did the easy thing and pulled a degree of caster from the LCAs to get in the sweet spot. Well, my tire on LH front started rubbing my CMCd frame BAD when reversing out of my driveway.

No bueno. I took the SPC UCA instructions to the shop. To my surprise, they, a reputable shop, had no idea they could adjust caster on the UCA. I put the instructions in their hands, showed how the UCAs need to be indexed for +1 and that the LCAs need to be near or maxed out to push tire forward.

Moral of the story: Don't just drop your SPC UCA truck off at the shop without having a detailed conversation with the tech. Put the instructions in their hand. Don't let them move your LCAs back to dial in the caster.

I'm going to measure it when it's redone, but a degree in the LCA makes a big difference for clearance.

Here's my clearance after pushing the LCAs forward a degree. Gave an extra 0.5". It was rubbing here before.
