At that point, I had a run where every single item I ordered for either vehicle hit a hiccup. I ordered replacement bulbs for my roof lights which went bad immediately after installing them. I ordered the harness and it got super delayed. I ordered a C6 shifter for my C5 that was not backordered and it still took a month to receive. The shift knob I ordered showed up but the matching boot was wrong and I'm still waiting for a replacement (a month later). I ordered a Metra double DIN replacement radio surround for my C5 because my current one broke on me (because of course it did) and then it arrived without the hardware kit, etc etc.

So all my car guy friends have heard nothing but whining since about April. This was a big step in "fixing" things.

Does anyone know if Xrunnerdude67 is still making these harnesses? I'm about ready to make the upgrade from my 2017 halogens to the 2020 LED

Hey, I know its been almost a year, but were you able to find a conversion harness for SR5 non-led dlr?

I installed the 2020 LED headlights in my 2020 SR5 last night and THEN I found out that its not plug and play, I bought this harness from another source without reading specs carefully.

I'm looking everywhere for this harness, contacted Mike but he told me that he's not currently working on something of the sort until he gets caught up.

Where you able to find something somewhere else?

He is, but he replied to me today saying that he hasn't made a harness for the SR/SR5 non-led DLR headlights but its on his list once he gets caught up with his current orders.

I'm desperately looking for this harness, I installed the 2020 full LED headlights on my 2020 SR5 and now I can't use my truck at night haha.

The more and more I see these lights I want them over the Arex and Morimoto units. MESO is right when he says the OEM is top notch quality. They look good guys.

All you can do at the moment is switch back to stock and wait for a harness when that day ever comes. Or get a pair of 2016-2019 TRD model headlights and do the SR / SR5 harness upgrade for those found in the lighting thread
Can’t really use them in the daylight cause you need a blinker to be legal.
You could do some research and make your own harness. would be worth it, you already have the headlights.

Good for looking out. SR and SR5 just aren’t wired the same.

Can the 2020 led’s b installed by the dealer on a 2016 TRD OR with the premium and tech package..?
Do they need an aftermarket harness or can they install an upgraded factory wiring harnesses retrofit..?
Have a chance to get this done free.

They would need a harness that you would have to provide "if" they will even do it. You might want to call and ask.

I can get it done just don’t think I’ll have time for the aftermarket harness to arrive as my truck goes for other repairs in two weeks.

The solution would be to tap into the taillights turn signals and hook it to the harness, then on the DRL running a fuse tap from the ignition so that it will dim when lights are on. That's the solution, the problem is wiring everything so it looks like factory.

That's the solution to the "double purpose" wire that the SR/SR5's have, at least what I've been recommended to do

Glad you got it figured out!

Look forward to seeing it all done when you get it! Might want to do a write up as well as you go and take pics cause I know this will help a lot of other people.

    Cheers!

Threw mine in the box the new lamps came in and threw them in storage. While getting $250-450 for a set has its appeal, if you ever have an LED go out the original lamp is a quick solution.

Likewise if you decide to sell or trade in the truck, you could likely sell the LED lamps for more or worst case if the truck is totaled by getting hit from behind you could take the LED lamps with you.

All of those items hold weight for me.
