I snugged down the plugs p decent after putting a lil anti seize on it. Saw they are 15 ft lb trq recommended, they arent known to back out at all after doing them right?

Roughed on a spare tire stabilizer this afternoon. It's just cheap bed frame material, so I am going to add some gussets, one front and one rear(red circles), before I finish welding and call it good. Not supporting any weight, just keeping the tire from swinging around. But, I want it to be strong enough to take a hit if the tire were to come in contact with something like snow or mud. Original one was rusted away. Black paint also.

 

You could probably do drawers way lighter using skateboard bearings instead. Cause well, a drawer, especially in a short bed wont have anywhere near the load. But on this thing I have 3 huge ball bearings per side, two on the sled, one on the mount. Makes it so it can hold itself up fully extended with up to 2k lbs. Not that the truck could hold that.





This is an older CargoBed slider that I've refreshed and modified for my own uses.

 

I don’t have enough extensions to get my torque wrench anywhere near this application.

I always hand tighten the spark plug down then snug it up with the socket wrench. Don’t know if that’s the proper way to do it but it’s worked for a few decades.

Also: I always tape the hell out of the spark plug socket to the extension. Pulling the extension out of the block only to see there’s no socket at the end of it really sucks. Ask me how I know...

I only got this one because it came with a $400 truck a buddy bought. He was gonna toss it. I said I'll take it, I just fixed er up and she's good. Only really needed a new deck and a paint job.

 

How’s the snow in the winter? My dad has been looking for a good smaller town to retire to with some property.
