    Good evening ladies and gents,

I'm new here and have just started tackling the heads on my 05 Tacoma. I'm the second owner, having owned it since 80k miles in 2014. I have recently noticed a low coolant level and a PO306 (cyl 6) misfire. So, I've started disassembly on the motor. I hope to get it going soon. I'm waiting on valve stem seals. I've got new oem gaskets and tensioner from my local Toyota dealer. I may be posting a few questions when I get back to reassembly, just wanting to verify I'm putting everything back together correctly. Thanks for the help!

    -Sebastian

p.s. Ignore the rats nest under the coolant crossover tube, it has since been shop vac'd out! :D

You are neck deep in it. How many miles do you have on it? Did the gasket have evidence of the leak? can you post picks?

    Rich,

Roughly 170K. I found that poll and voted on it. Here's a pic... You can clearly see the gasket has deteriorated between the cylinder and the water jacket. :(

Thanks for the pics. The education on this website is 2nd to none. Like a Masters Degree in Tacoma. We are all going to be heading in that direction. I have about 220 plus on mine. I am sure it is coming for me too.
