I'm traveling with roommates and a friend.

Our first stop is likely to be Glenwood Springs, CO for the night.

Glenwood Springs is a cool little town. Spent a day there during my short stint of living in Colorado.

Don’t forget that there was a 24/7 security guard in the hotel lobby.

Swing through KC Joes and grab a Rocket Pig while you're in the area too. No other BBQ sandwich have I ever had like that.

So if you're headed to wichita from KC, I was thinking there might be a good place to stop in the flint hills for camping. I was hoping the bazaar cattle pens (about 15 mi south of emporia) allowed overnight, but I haven't found a whole lot of information either way. Its a pretty place to stop for a break though, gives you a good feel for the prairie.

Also, if you're headed south, Braums is a pretty solid fast food joint that you'll start seeing in Emporia, KS and stop seeing juust south of Dallas.. Good ice cream, decent burgers.

Further advice because I'm bored, ever so slightly drunk, and I've driven I-35 *way* too many times. Organized north to south.

The service areas along the Kansas Turnpike used to be more expensive for fuel, but seem to be decently priced the last couple years. Not much for food tho - mcdonalds or dunkin donuts for the most part.

Blackwell OK has a pretty good Best Western, and the Los Potros mexican restaurant next door is pretty darn good. Their margaritas are solid.

Guthrie OK always seems to have more expensive gas, and the El Rodeo Mexican place there is extremely mediocre. Their queso is literally nacho cheese out of a can; kinda looks like vanilla pudding. On the other hand, downtown Guthrie is pretty nice - lots of cool old buildings and small businesses.

Exit 131 in Oklahoma City has a Flying J that usually has decent gas prices.

If you see a Buc-ee's in Texas, especially on of the big ones, you're required to stop. Make sure to check out the bathrooms. Highly recommend the southwest club sandwich (?), it's mostly meat.

West, TX has a place called the Czech Stop. Excellent kolaches, and you'll need to know about kolaches if you're thinking about moving to Texas anyway. The line can be long though.

I'm not a glock person, but..... Hard to not look when prices are that low.

Quite a few guns here too.

Got a little personal gun range in the backyard where I live now. Need more ammo.

Deal enough to make me think about it for sure.
I need something I can at least try to kind of conceal with my tiny self. I want to try a few different 9mm and .380s. I was originally looking at probably getting a Smith and Wesson M&P, but I'll definitely be adding Glock to the list. If I like it, it's definitely worth the deal.
