I guess you got me there... you know me, always talking it up...

Doing ok up here, just trying to figure out a way to stop working 14hr days. But I keep dragging projects home so even if I get home earlier I just have work there instead (except it's working for free there!)

When you bringing your old ass back up here? Been too long since I aggravated the piss out of you.

Work, that’s the story of my life the couple of years. I go to work, then come home to pick a disaster to work on.

When I get a chance to come up there, I’ll let you and Chris know.

I met him the other night at Kroger on Timberlake. His name is Matt and he works for Appalachian Tent Company. That is their prototype GFC camper. He told me what the black material on the sides is. But I forgot what it was. Some marine grade composit. He said that they will not be using that for the side. It warps in the sun. Production ones will be aluminum.

If anybody is looking for an RTT or knows someone looking for one, I've got one I would like to sell. Figured I'd post here before craigslist/FB marketplace. CVT Mt. Shasta Ext. with annex room. 2 years old, used maybe 10 times. Would like $1200.

Has anyone done the Crabtree Falls/Shoe Creek trial? I've been itching to do one and my brother just bought a new Tacoma and wants to see if there are any beginner trails around Nelson County.

Pretty sure Shoe Creek was shut down about 4 or 5 years ago. Unless the property owners decided to reopen recently. But no matter what, it was not a beginner trail back in the day...

Agreed. They never got the land owner thing settled. You can go up the trail about a mile. Certainly not worth the drive unless you live close by.

I ran both sides of the trail this winter. Shoe creek like the folIs are saying is closed 1.5miles up. Crab tree is worth the drive and has a nice hike but it is closed by the same gate as shoe creek but is longer. Here is one of the videos It took this winter. It will probably be really wet since is rains every other day. I have a few videos on there around the Nelson area. Not a crazy trail but fun. The stock Nissan in the video went most places.

We went last weekend. First time on a trail and it was awesome. Will be looking for other trails now.

The last time I had run Shoe Creek was back in 2014 and trail was still open. The new land owner in the middle got tired of people wandering off the trail to hit the obstacle right off it. At first he put up signs saying, stay on the trail. but people kept veering off to play on said obstacle..

That said, I had heard reports of him coming out and telling people to stay on the trail or he was going to shut it down. People didn't, and he did. From what I understand, he did not really have a problem with people crossing his property on said trail. The problem was with people not staying on the trail and playing else where. it's a damn shame too.. Was a fun trail.

Confirmed. Shoe Creek is blocked off about 1.5 miles from the start. If you are in that area it is a good little out and back with a few creek crossings. I went a while back and did a quick video. Camera settings were off so some of it is blurry.
