Good options for 0 offset 17" black wheels on 2020 4runner?

Fixing rub is one of those things that some people are just so desperately trying to avoid. The issue with it is that you can get it even on stock wheels/tires if your take it out and try hard enough. Cutting and molding the plastics is all you would need to fix it, and its not a big deal or a permanent choice. You could always replace the fender liner later, although you wouldnt need to.

Cab mount or body mount chops really only come into play with really aggressive offsets or wide tires, like 285s or larger.

 

Yeah I don't want any lift and really don't want it to poke out much.
Trying to figure out what size tire would work that's All Terrain (for snow, mountains, etc.), but not too big where it would add to rubbing or look any beefier.
I know I'm at 265/70/R17 with my stock tires now, so was hoping to have 265 K02s but don't know if I need bigger with an 8.5" wheel width?

 

The level 8 mk6 is a cheap option that is available in 0 offset. I have the -10 on my truck and wish I’d have gone with the 0.

 

I have 265-70-17 on a ‘13 TRD Sport, 3” lift with Rock Blox mudflaps, no rub until I swapped to my MK6 wheels, with -10 offset. Now, the rub struggle is real. FWIW it’s just annoying, and would probably go away if I swapped to my OEM flaps.

 

17x8.5 -6 with 265/70r17 Nitto Ridge Grappler, sits nearly flush with the fender. KO2s run smaller than the Nitto does.

 

You don't need bigger with that width wheel. 2 tires that come to mind if you need them for snow are the Stt MAX by Cooper and the Goodyear Duratrac. Both are more on the aggressive side of an AT but are stud ready and are designed to do well in snow. They are good all around tires as well.

So I'm guessing my 17x8.5 -10 will just poke out a little more.
When you say KO2's run smaller than the Nitto, do you mean they wouldn't fit on the above specs? Or what do you mean by that lol

 

Would you say the Cooper Stt Max + the Goodyear Duratrac are better than the BFG KO2's?
I'm looking to have the least aggressive tire, that doesn't rub or poke out with the probable 17x8.5 ET-10 wheel I'd get, and can handle the snow + mountain.

 

So BFG even though the tire size is the same as others they are a little smaller than that spec compared to others is what he means still will fit the wheels fine.

It isn't just about the size tire the wheel determines the amount of "poke" for the most part. With that offset you'll be just fine it will pretty close to flush with the side of the truck. I personally think there are better tire choices out there than the KO2 and the 2 I mentioned are among them. The good thing is in that size and the type of tire you are looking for there are a ton of choices. If you want more choices look for ones that have the little triple mountain peak with a snoflake in the middle of it. That little symbol tells you it's severe weather rated. The duratrac and stt maxx are even more geared towards snow. But like I said there are a ton of choices in that size.

 

Smaller as in they are just smaller in overall size. Nittos run large. They would still fit just fine on the SCS wheels. Plenty of people run KO2s on the SCS wheels in 265s.

 

ended up going with the SCS F5's!
they create a good amount of rub when reversing, but looking into cutting the liner.
however, the poke is super minimal and exactly what i wanted.
