Once MoM home sales figures posted I hopped back on the NAIL train. That's up 6% and I expect it to continue up tomorrow.

NVDA also opened low so I picked up 2 July $360 calls in the play account. Those are up 19% so far. Aftermarket has it way up so if that holds I'll set a trail tomorrow.

Yeah, I think NAIL is a solid play right now. I've got shares at $24.86...I'm spreading the $$$ around but getting thin in the pockets. I really think the AMD calls I bought today are going to be immediately in trailing territory tomorrow...It looks like there's some good news about home bound people buying a lot of electronics using AMD tech.

 

NAIL was a no brainer. MoM Pending Home Sales was released at 10AM EST. Forecast was 18.9%. Actual was 44.3%. That's a 134% beat. Anytime that shit happens you buy. I bought a lot. Like 1/4 of the value of my IRA. lol

 

I agree on NAIL, for some reason I’ve been able to let myself play that 3 times, bought again Friday when I thought it would go up. but I haven’t touched NRGU.

 

This is also my 3rd time playing NAIL. I'm super skittish to leave my money invested right now. The markets doing shit that, IMO, it shouldn't be. I've just been hitting and running for the last 3 months. I'm playing it cautious and setting trailing stops on everything. So far that strategy has worked and worked well. It's obscene how much of a return I have on my IRA and my play account right now. lol

That’s the spirit! I’m down too. Not as much but yeah I think I’m at 150 or something. I haven’t signed into td in a while. I’m at 4.70 I can’t bring myself to see my actual numbers.

of course you bring up the pats. A true new Englander.

I hope this isn’t too political to post...but. If a Democrat gets elected the markets will go down. If a republican is elected the markets will go up. Historically this represents what each party brings to a forward thinking market in a business sense. So hedge your bets where you will based on that info.

Normally, but there could be a vaccine announced in the middle of November also. In many ways, we can’t trust the markets to behave like we would think. Even the talk of recovery, where we are at in relation to historical trends. That’s not totally relevant because this wasn’t caused by the usual suspects, and the recovery relies on different variables.

 

I have a friend who teaches over there...VPN city to get anything done...even streaming shows. Just keep to yourself and cash the paychecks...all the adjacent countries are amazing to vacation in where a $50 a night buys you 5 star with meals...

 

OF course...THe PAAAAAATs signed Cam Newton...first team eva to lose an MVP QB and sign an MVP QB in the same yeaaaa...Wooo hooo!!



As far as VXX and the election...I'm thinking one long Call option could hedge against the massive volatility in and around the election in general....

I'm generally against going long on VXX but this seams like the 6 month window to go for it...

and don’t forget uncle bobs advice. If you see donuts you like on the way, take them and be happy with the donuts you have instead of sad you missed out on some more donuts.

2: Might be a solid day trade. I'll wait till 9 before deciding. Buying early has been a bad idea since the beginning of electronic markets.
3: I'll probably get out today at some point. I still have that bad juju feeling in my head.
