This is why I wrote it, because of my mower issue.

I also thought that how the grass guru says good morning.

New stock is in at Home Depot and Lowes. Most mower that came in has the 140 cc engine. Which I'm not interesting in. Then I seen the Troy Bilt with the Honda 160 cc engine. I had enough with those engine. Two engine with carburetor issues. The floor rep said that they receive half of the order the rest should be in soon. So, my search continues.

My god man, I would cry getting to work on those. Probably couldn’t do it now, my body is really going to hell in a hand basket, but the will is there. I love feeling the soul of a car. Some of the modern cars don’t seen to have a soul at all, but I have never been around a classic that doesn’t. So satisfying.

    Yes it is satisfying.
Thing is the younger generation has no idea how to talk to them. No computers to hold your hand.
Using your hands, your ears, your nose to understand what it’s trying to say to you. They do actually let you know they are not happy.
When it all comes together and you see the result.
    That’s the satisfaction....

As much as I love my Tacoma, my real love is classic VW’s. I have had 13 over the years. I could adjust everything on the car by feel, sound, smell...even taste on occasion. Now that I have kids and am stuck in an apartment, no oldy for me. Someday though... I know of a 66 Beetle that the owner would let me have for a good price. One owner car, all original. Been stored in a climate controlled garage for years. He’s disabled and can’t drive anymore, but he pulls it out once a month for a bath and to stir up the gas. Then he listens to the radio for a while and drives it back in. I want it so bad.

I would love to have a split or oval window... I would be happy with any ‘69 or older. Ragtops are my favorite, as far as Bugs go. I really like Type 3’s too. Had both a ‘67 and a ‘69 Fastback. Always wanted a Bus. My favorite that I have owned was a 67 body on a ‘69 frame. Had a 2276cc in it. Setup for 1/4 mile racing. Drove around with a shorty wheelie bar and 6” slicks in the summertime. Broke the 12 second barrier once, ended up getting banned since I didn’t have a roll bar.

I've owned a few back in the day. If I had the time and space I would love to build either a baja or a rat rod. Saw this rat last summer. Love it.

Remind me in a few weeks I’ll try to find the pics of my 66 and dune buggy on one of my other old computers

Back in college, I had this 1996 Miata for about a month before I learned a hard lesson about driving RWD sports cars in the rain and slammed it against a curb. After some measurements to confirm the unibody was still straight, I ripped the entire suspension off the bottom of the car and the rear diff and subframe, and replaced or refurbished anything that wasn’t right. Along the way, I also chucked quite a bit of aftermarket suspension underneath it, wheels, polyurethane bushings, etc.

Not long after she came out of the garage I got bit by SCCA autocrossing, then track days and road rally’s. That car was my little reset button, all it took to melt away the stress of working full time while being a full time student.

An inattentive teenager ran a stop sign and t-boned me in the driver door literally weeks before I had planned to by a daily driver and take this off the road for paint, seam welding the unibody, roll bar with door bars, everything. Car was twisted up so bad it wasn’t worth saving, and I was so upset after watching five years of work racing it go up in smoke I didn’t go buy another one.

Now, almost ten years later, I’m getting that itch for another one. Thanks for listening to the ramble.
