Getting my 2020 Tacoma Sport with some 285/75/16 KOs and since they are big tires, I'm also going with a 3" King lift kit for my truck (wanted a lift anyways).

Talking with a few shops, some of them include the OME Leafs (V2) + SPC UCAs as need (which puts the price way higher), but others don't.

Is this a MUST, to have the lift done and properly working in the truck?

Thank you as always. The wisdom of this community is always appreciated.

After 2 inches you will VERY LIKELY NEED UCA's. Also (IIRC) kings are priced the same for standard and extended travel, so you might as well get the extended travel, but will need UCA's to get the full range of motion.

Well, you need a rear lift of whatever level since the front will be higher than the rear. A UCA is needed for a 3" lift regardless.

Standard travel coilovers are 0-2” of lift, so a 3” lift is already in the extended travel requirement. This also requires aftermarket UCAs.

If you want to save the money, stick with a 2” lift.

Anything over two inches of lift I would run aftermarket UCA’s to gain more caster which improves straight line stability, steering will feel more heavy and less floaty, in a corner the steering wheel will want to turn back to wheels straight without having to turn it. All things I’ve experience making the switch to aftermarket UCAs with caster at 4.

    You need UCAs.

Also trying to install Kings but considering not doing leaf springs and UCA tells me you're new to this. You better install a cheaper lift but get the leafs and UCA as opposed to installing Kings on a rear spacer lift or something like that. Makes absolutely no sense.

The way I read the title, suggests he's going with OME leafs but is questioning whether or not he will need UCA's?
