A <1% abv Wheat beer hopped with Mosaic from a small home brew trade. This was quite a surprise that it did not taste like water. There was good body and the hops aren’t over stated. I got tips on how to brew a beer like this so needless to say I’ll be giving it a shot in the not too distant future.

One of my Carolina Lagers while bottling my light lager. The sample of the light lager was nice and crispy despite not finishing quite as low as expected. Can’t wait to try one of these carbed.

Finishing with my hazy. Much lighter body, less sweet and a bit more bitterness. Still real good.

I drank the shit out of that in Belgium. Far too easy to drink for an 8% beer.

Brewing a Belgian Pale Ale this evening...

    20200701_202340.jpg

I designed the recipe to (hopefully) be somewhat close to this brew, which, not coincidentally, I happen to be drinking at the moment...

What yeast are you using? Looks a bit dark too, what's giving the color?

Yeast is T-58. I have almost an entire sachet left over from the Treehouse Julius clone that I figured I should use up.

I agree with you on color. A bit dark for a Belgian pale ale but actually is within the style, just at the high end; not sure what else to call it. It's basically a Dubbel that I dialed way back on the OG. Dark pale ale? That's not a thing!

Color is coming from a pound of D-45 Candi Syrup and a few oz of Carafa I that I had laying around. There's also some Caravienne in there.
