Alright, after a couple months of procrastination / ordering stuff, and waaaay too much on the mastercard (although seems like nothing compared to a lot of yall!), I finally finished my bed setup - perfect for biking & carrying gear, yet staying pretty versatile. What I really wanted was to be able to have the bed secure, while still being able to carry my bike, eventually skis/snowboard, etc. Could have been easier with a hitch rack but I'm not a huge fan of them, and thought this setup would be cool & fun to tackle. Plus a lot more can be added over time. This is basically a big combo of people's ideas I've seen all over the site and I'm pretty stoked about how it came out!

    So here we go:
I bought some @Mobtown Offroad low profile brackets (thanks to @Taco/Jäger for the hookup). Saw a cool looking thread by @Bertw192, and decided that my low profile brackets needed to be lowER profile - so I took an angle grinder to my perfectly good brackets, cut them down, cleaned it up with a flap disk, drilled some new holes to fit some 15-series 80/20, and sprayed them with rustoleum hammered black paint.

Then bought the 80/20 off their website for a ridiculous amount of $$$, anodized black and tapped; along with some antitheft bolts from mcmaster. Fully installed:

Next up was to add the tonneau cover. I went with the truxedo pro x15 because I was feeling boujee, but any roll-up would have worked here, maybe even better if it were more compatible with the mobtown brackets. So far no leaks... but it has rained zero times so we'll see if that lasts  Overall there aren't really any major gaps and I don't need it totally waterproof so I'm not too worried about it.

So then needed to complete the setup with a bike rack for over the top. I went with 1up because again, feeling boujee, and also their stuff kicks ass. Popped that on there, threw the bike on, and all set!

I'll need to get another bike rack for on there at some point, but for now just one. If I ever want to run a shuttle or carry more than one, I can take the crossbars off pretty easily in about 10 minutes, throw a pickup pad over the tailgate, and I can take 5.
Taking a quick road trip out to Huntington Beach for the weekend and I can't wait to try it out! :yay:
