I run a leer cap and usually have some crap in the back. I went with the mediums and ended up with a little bit of the bro lean- bought the extra leaf and now everything is sitting better. Rode like a truck before, rides like a truck now, it’s not noticeable rough or anything.

better to install the HD pack right off the bat - it’s a pain in the dick to install the middle leaf later.

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
As others have said, do not get the MD. Go with HD all the way. I started off with the MDs and they sagged like crazy. Had to add the leaf to convert them into HDs. The MD will give you 2” but the second you add any weight they’ll sag and you’ll start thinking “what lift?”

 Don't get me wrong, they were fine until she started getting THICC. The HDs rode REAL nice with the topper and loaded for trips (without the swing out). I was able to sell them locally to someone without any weight in the bed. They'll still work great for him though.

I've failed to mention that I had a shackle flip before (mistake) and that probably fucked with my Dakars a good bit too. Never again will I go shackle flip or Dakars. :tinfoilhat:

I LOVE them. My rear setup now (6th iteration) is finally the setup I am happy with; BAMF shock relocation, 12" RR Kings, Deaver Stage III U402's, BAMF hangers and shackles. Really planted and solid setup especially for the weight.

We have a very similar setup. I have the same except Archive shackles, and Dakars (and my Kings have clickers). I havent rode with anyone who has Deavers, so i dont know a difference.. but ive had AllPro Expos, and at first they were ok, but they became flat quickly with all my weight

I have the medium Dakars as I typically don't carry much weight. I have a few tools in the back seat, but add a rtt whenever I camp. 80% of the time, no weight. But, I don't plan to go rear bumper any time soon...

There are a couple part numbers now. EL46XL, D29XL, and now the brand new part number (that Im not aware of). Headstrong should be able to set you up with the correct ones that you need.

You could do anything you set your mind to...usually influenced by adult sodas.

You can totally cut out the garbage Toyota OEM leaf setup and weld in some Chevy 63's on these trucks. You can also put in 1 ton axles and 40's, too. The possibilities are endless....

To be fair, I have not seen this before. I don't think it would help me much and I was and am glad to be rid of the Dakars....

I went mediums knowing I could add a leaf later, but I don't have a rack or topper. I do have a rear bumper, but no tire carrier. Also sliders and some armor. I have a little more than 2" still after a few thousand miles. #1 they squeak like a mofo now. #2 Cut the second leaf on mediums (2nd and 3rd on HD?) to keep them from binding or smacking shackles. There are a few threads on it. Next time, I'm going Deavers most likely.

The difference used to be that the pack without the added leaf was the MD pack 5 + 2 and if you wanted the HD pack, the leaf needed to be added to make it 6 + 2.

All you young kids with your new technology. For the record, I'm 31.
