    Good morning All!

Looks like rough weather here for the next hour or so. Severe thunderstorm warnings issued and tornado warnings just to the west.

    Good Morning Folks

Having my coffee on the deck this morning :pccoffee:.

My plans for this week fell apart. Menards delivers my 40 replacement blocks yesterday. I start to unwrap them and see bad ones. I stopped the delivery driver but he said I have to call the store. I called the store and i told them that they need to send someone and sort these block. They said i had to sort them and call back with number of bad ones and they would send replacements. I had 29 out of 40 bad blocks, f,,in bull%$#. After sorting and restacking I handled these blocks twice, at 58 lbs per block. By now I'm beyond pissed off. Because when Menards called Monday I ask if the blocks were good. The employee told me that he looked at um personally and they were good. I wish I would of got his name.
I called Menards, they were like o well, we will just send more. I said, you couldn't get it right twice, what makes you think you can get it right the third time. I said no, you can come and pick up every block and give me my money back. Full refund, and I'm not paying any restocking fees.
Already found another source, bigger block, cost more and delivery charge is double.

    Rant over

    Think I'll cut grass today.
Be safe and drink lots of water.

Kids today have no work ethic at all. The group that comes in here at 0730 are all sitting in their cars waiting for the rain to stop.

Good morning all, very tired today. Had a visitor twice last night, first visit was at 1152, Golden going nuts then the Lab. Big black bear taking our trash up the hill. Got that cleaned up then at 0229 another visit but now the trash can is bungied (my mistake for not doing this earlier) so the bear can only throw the can around eventually with the dogs barking and using an air horn he went to the neighbors for a late night snack - LOL

    Have a great day everyone

We're in Fairbanks heading up to Arctic Circle today then spend the night in Coldfoot.

You can get a room anywhere without reservations...sad really. It'll take years to recover from the loss of tourism revenue...I'm guessing a lot of Mom and Pop operations won't survive. :(

You seeing the same down there?

just about. traffic in the park is picking up but no where near normal (i actually think thats a good thing). hotels and restaurants are kinda busy, camping is insane. campgrounds and dispersed areas are jam packed every weekend. the rental car corral at the airport still has most of their inventory just sitting in a field. they'd usually be cleared out this time of year. stores in town are just getting back to normal and its kinda sad - i was out last friday and nearly every single store had most of their inventory on clearance - everything from last year's christmas season stuff to spring and early summer. id say about 75% of the stores inventories were clearance.

    People aren't following the rules.

Actually he didnt close beaches, he just removed all the state owned parking. And he just said he would withhold budget money if the cities didn't follow his 'advice'

% of positive cases are up a bit here too. Not as bad as some parts of the country.
Did notice in the grocery store today more people were wearing a mask.

For a state with 40 million people, the governor has done well.

I feel your pain Dan, dealing with big box stores for building supplies sucks! If at all possible I avoid them like the plague.
