I understand that! I think the 1575 is a great option as well that can definitely be dealt with by the Tacoma. Unfortunately I think they didn't start giving them the "four season" package until like 2019 or something.

I'm imagining as the economy continues this downward trend, more used trailers will pop up for sale.

I just got furloughed yesterday but we can live off my wife's income and savings (plus unemployment of course) so I don't think I'll have to be ditching my trailer. Just going to have to pull back on the daydreaming of the next one...

We hope to test tow a 2016 Lance 1685 before considering a purchase. We have experience in the Rockies towing somewhat small trailers with a 2005 Tacoma that would definitely be under powered for the 1685. The post 2019 Tacomas are rated at 6,400 to 6,800 towing capacity and would seem to have the capability. The current tow vehicle to the Lance we are considering was a Lexus GX 460 with a v-8 and about 25 HP and similar higher torque than the Taco. Definitely need a WD hitch, anti-sway, and brake controller, and don't overload the gear.

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
Rent one from RVShare or Outdoorsey.com before buying. Buying a new rv is one of the worst financial decisions made. Try one out on someone else’s financial loss so you get your purchase right the first time. I sold my trailer 2 weeks ago because I got about $2000 (vary rare) over what I paid for it last year. We then rented one from RVShare last week for a trip through the SE US. All went well.

I tow a Lance 1475 with a 2015 TRD Sport. It does great but I wouldn’t want to tow anything heavier.
