Yes I confirmed that the other day. But the 2020 models require eTune3. eTune2 interfaces are not compatible with the 2020 models.

Hmm my R4T grille LED center light is defective and the fuse placement puts it with the headlights and I wanted it with the daytime running lights.

So for a 2020 which fuse is for the daytime running lights.

 

The only way to get them on with the DRL is by splicing them in with the DRL wire. The fuse for them is always hot so the LEDs would be on all the time. There are not many fuses you can tap into in the engine bay that aren’t hot. I tapped into IGN2 I think. Hope this helps.

 

Was that your DRL or should I just leave it on the headlights?

If I remember right it’s fuse tapped into IGN2. The lights come on anytime the truck is on. I tried using the headlight and DRL fuses but they are always hot.

 

I haven't even driven around but you'd think the DRL FUSE would be in the fusebox somewhere right?

 

That fuse is in the main fuse box under the hood, it’s just if you use that fuse to power the lights they’ll be on all the time, even when the truck is off.
I wanted to do the same thing for my lights to come on with the DRLs too but they would have been on when the truck was off. I might still end up splicing them into the DRL wire since I don’t like them being tied into the IGN fuse.

 

The +12VDC power must go to the DRL fuse first, prior to the switch in the circuit. That's why your lights would be on all the time if you tapped in at the fuse.

 

So the only answer is the "splice" method, which I do not like at all.

 

These splices from Amazon would probably work well with minimal work. It’s what I’ll do when I finally get around to order them and use an inline fuse, just in case.

jarbarian, use caution on having those "on" all the time as with the DRL. Depending on what state your in, auxillary lighting can only be illuminated with the headlights also being on. ie. can not be on unless headlights are also on.
Texas has such a law, Don't ask how I know. (I found this out the expensive way).
If the extra lights are amber, ignore the above words.
Mine were LED fog lights behind the grill. Not very bright in my opinion, and it was daytime when I was "enlightened" !

 

I had actually ordered white lights but was sent ambers. Since I got them “like new” from Amazon for $15 I didn’t want to mess with returning them. They are also not the brightest out there.

 

I have white ones and live in Florida. I do not anticipate that being a problem but we'll see.

First the vendor has to fix the broken one they did send. I only use 3 instead of 4.
