Anyone else deal with this problem? I have a black truck. It drives me crazy. Any good fixes out there? Thanks!

Do you have water spots on the nearby painted surfaces that are not covered in PPF (paint protect film)? Depending on the hardness of the water it can be pretty destructive, usually water sprinkler spots are the most damaging. Coupled with the black paint and sun creates a very hot surface and the minerals in the water will etch into the paint from drying so quickly. If it is etched nothing out of a spray bottle is going to fix that it will require polishing. Talking the paint here, not PPF.

If it's only on the PPF then you'll likely need to have it replaced. Not sure what PPF the Toyota importer uses but I'm sure it's far from the best. Some of the higher quality films are self healing as well but that's for the light "swirl" scratches you get from washing a bit too harsh or using automated spinning brush car washes. Another thing that is far from ideal with black paint and a sunny day. Some PPF may be able to be polished but likely with the softest pad and least abrasive or non abrasive polish otherwise you'll just leave it hazed over.

Preventing water spots can be a bit of an uphill battle, some protection products help. Ceramic products can tend to be problematic in this area because they create such a hydrophobic surface that the water will sit on the paint to dry in the sun. Where I am the rain is no where near as hard as tap water can be.
