    If it makes you feel any better it cooked all the way to medium by the time I got good color on all sides...

    Summer scouting is starting up around here. Getting my wife her license this year and have a ranch that will let her shoot a buck. Last year it had a few basket whitetails which I'm sure she would be happy shooting. I'm looking for a solid mule deer this year. I'm debating on driving out to another ranch in the eastern part of the state. They have a big cut through the ranch that is just a haven for big bucks. Who knows. I still really want to shoot a Bull elk this year. Still waiting too see if I draw an antelope tag as well. If I do I'm going to the ranch back east and going to scout for bucks while I'm there.

    Ive got the Marlin ported guide gun. love it.cuts holes at 50yds. most factory loads are mild because of so many old guns in 45-70 but you can load or get buffalo bore max loads, they list the gun models that handle them. they will knock your fillings loose. you got a pretty one there. wife did good:thumbsup:D7B71064-70D2-4D1F-8864-CBCF192DA6D1.jpg
