Does anyone know any axles that match up well with the stock real axle. I'm looking to do a swap I was thinking and fj60 with a new transfer case any suggestions?Screenshot_20200611-190744.jpg

what do you mean match up well? Strength, WMS, R&P ratio? You can go get a custom front axle made and spend all kindsa cash, depends what your budget is. The FJ60 axle has the pumpkin on the passenger side, so you're out of luck unless you want to do alot of extra work and get a passenger drop case.

Ya basically something I could put in the front without changing the rear but after slot of research seems like just building 2 Dana 60s is the way to go?

That's like asking what kind of oil to put in your vehicle. You'll get a wide variety of opinions, I'd determine what you want to use your truck for, what tire size you'll be running, what engine power you're putting out, and go from there.

I do a heavy amount of crawling now. I'd have the stock motor in my second gen. The Marlin crawler box, is there an axle I could match up with my stock rear now that would not require new gears? I was planning on building a SAS with just springs for now and then upgrading as I go but I could not find a front that matched the back gears and drop. I'm kinda new to building just trying to see what's out there.

I currently run 35s. Not sure I'd really need to go bigger I mean everyone wants 40s but I don't think it's necessary.

For leafs and 35s, I’d go with a flipped toy axle, or get a new housing from trail gear. With Dana 60’s and 35s you’ll be dragging that front pumpkin like a boat anchor. Get a HP 8” diff and you’ll be set since you’ll be riding on the drive side of the gearset.

Just wheel it as is with a crawl box. That's a far more impactful mod performance wise than an SAS.

Probably invest in some sliders as well.

Buy another vehicle if you want a solid axle up front. Not worth the cost or trouble to do a SAS on a Tacoma. My old 4Runner will run circles around any Tacoma with a solid axle.

Care to elaborate how your 4r can run circles around SA Tacoma?

Crawl control option or an actual dual case setup? There's a BIG difference between the two.

I was just being an obnoxious ass.
Starring the pot, it was just a joke.
Tacoma with a SAS are full on badass.

A first gen 4Runner on 37’s will wheel circles around a second gen Tacoma on 40’s even. A second gen Taco is a big heavy bitch compared to a first gen 4Runner

IFS and FJ80 hubs are completely different, how did you make that work? Guys go from SA to IFS hub to gain ~3" width, but never heard builder using IFS hubs with FJ80 outer.
