I have recently purchased my brother in laws 2003 Toyota Tacoma dbl cab 2wd with only 223000 miles on it and looks like it just came out of showroom. Very excited as I sold his 1992 for this one. I am an older fart and was looking to make it ride a little smoother. I have just had it aligned and put new tires on which helped considerably and only have the 26lb in them. It still seems awfully jittery. I am sure everything is stock on it. I do know it is a truck but what would be the reccomended shock for a smoother ride. I won't be off roading in it but it does have the TRD package on it.

No pre runner trim, no mud flaps,no step ups,I do have the Deck plate though. Kings @ 0 and 5100's in rear. stock leafs. Total chaos UCA.
Welcome! I think we can all agree our Tacoma’s should come with a greater diameter at the shocks. 2.5” rebuildable shocks would give the vehicle a Nice Cushion, Also more articulation at the control arm would allow a softer ride on small abrupt dips on or off road. With that being said the proven set up is..
Your choice of uni ball upper control arm.
Any rebuildable coil over thats at least 2.5 in diameter for the front
And for the back the sky is the limit, I would also recommend 2.5 direct replacements for the rear.
    Hope this helps!

someone with a lot more knowledge should chime in any moment! There are also a lot of threads on here with lots of info on brands and ideas to look into! Congratulations on your purchase!
