As always i take no responsibility for messing up your truck. use at own risk, blah blah blah... this really isnt that bad of project.

So i used to have Red DTR in my headlights. (demon eyes in projectors) Loved them, but one went out and i dont really feel like taking them apart to take the led board out of the headlight. But i did want some type DTR lights. So i looked on here. Nothing i could find other than buying all the parts from Toyota from the 2.5 gen. And i wanted to go Cheaper. While researching this i found Plugs for a 3157 that is a 3 wire from Amazon (click).. They did not come color coordinated, so that took some guessing but it wasnt that bad, i hooked the stock bulb to the socket and then tested the wires on the battery. I also bought some Switch back bulbs type2. so when the turn signal came on it turned the white off, and the amber on. Then when off turned the White back on. (click)

So after i found a wiring diagram i found what was hot and what was not. there are two hots ( one will run the white lights and one will run the turn signal) then connected to the stock wiring. Ran a hot for the power connecting both sides of the white light power to a AAF under the dash. This made it so i can they turn on when the truck comes on and turn off when the truck turns off. Dont know if this will help anyone but i liked the idea and didnt want to spend a bunch of money from Toyota. All in total im out $34. Ill take some pictures in a little bit of the finished project.
