3" lift with Bilstein 5100s, OME coils, and an AAL package... so far.
So I got a 3" lift with the Bilstein 5100s with OME coils and an AAL package. UCAs and wheels are still stock. Wanting to know if I can throw on 285/70R16 or 285/75R16 on my truck with little to no problems. Anyone know or have any experience with putting on bigger tires on stock wheels? No UCA upgrades, no spacers, possibly a lift. Any advice or suggestions?

    Is what your looking for.
285s are really to wide for stock rim and will rub the uca, wheel spacers are needed to clear.

I don't think I've ever seen a 3rd gen Taco with those size wheels... or maybe I'm not looking hard enough. Haha.

The 3rd gens kinda pioneered the TW trend of 255s. Like Jay said, 285s are quite wide. Im thinking 255s might be my next size on my 2nd gen.

It’s not that you aren’t looking hard enough, it’s that you didn’t look at all. The 255/85/16 thread is really popular on here. If you are going for looks then don’t go that route. But if you actually need to off-road then look up the skinny tire thread.

Lift only clears tires at ride height. You will definitely need to trim for 285s to avoid rubbing on the wheel well.(If you actually use your truck) As other have said stock offset rims and UCAs will also cause their own issues with that wide of a tire. You need more castor. TONS of info on Here about running larger tires, what people have for exact set ups and issues along the way.
