One of the main reasons I went with Mobtown for my skids is because I have Mobtown sliders...no fitment issues to deal with. Well, plus they are stout, extremely well made, and essentially a local pickup. Any picks of your sliders mounted, and how they cover the inside of the frame box? Maybe look at the install instructions for the Mobtown skids to see if there would be interference? You have probably already done this, but...I likely missed it.

Edit: I wish I could grab you a better pic, but my truck is currently sitting at the port on Oahu.

All I have installed right now are the front/mid BAMF skids. Plan on completing the trilogy and adding sliders. Looks like it'll be BAMF for those as well.

Probably something to be said for keeping it all the same for fitment...regardless, enjoy and post pics when you're done!

Yeah, I suppose. If you're planning on bolt-on sliders. You could go weld-on sliders with Mobtown without interfering with any skid tho.

Definitely could, but right now I'm leaning bolt-on for maximum flexibility long term. Also not sure if the weld-ons come powdercoated and I tell you what, I am in no mood to paint another giant piece of metal anytime soon lol.

Good suggestion though, I have included it in the hopper.

Once I get some time this weekend I plan on finally starting a build thread.

So I managed to jack up threads on one front seat jacker and my neighbor rethread it and I've got 8.8 grade bolts and some washers in hand that will work (these bolts will hold seat to spacer) vs. the flared hex head 10.9 that came with them (@fatfurious2 yeah don't ask...I seem to break or jack up taco bolts and plastic clips like a boss).

Any risk running the 8.8 vs. 10.9? Also the washer with the 8.8 is slightly smaller diameter than the riser included bolt...I'll snap pictures when I get home.

    A thing or two...
I'd find some class 10.9 or grade 8 bolts to use. Class 8.8 is equivalent to a grade 5 bolt. A class 8.8 bolt is about 30% weaker than a class 10.9 bolt, so it's more likely to shear if you're in a wreck.

Anyone know of a good local machine shop to bore the center of a set of wheels I have?

Walked out to grab some Gatorade from the truck and saw this T4R parked next to me. Decent looking set up. He/She is from MD so I would have to shun them if I met them.

Hit up my first trail in the new truck today. Went back home to visit WV and hit up some greens and blues at Bearwallow while I was here. I was worried about wheeling a DCLB on tight trails since all of my previous wheeling was in a 97 cherokee, but I got through some pretty tight brush and sharp switchbacks (by making what felt like a 90 point turn). Definitely made me feel better about capabilities once I get some better tires.imagejpeg_1(1).jpg

I got a dclb too. They are definitely capable. But definitely get some sliders and skids.
