Yep plug and play. You will have to find something to cover up the passenger side plug so it’s not just open to the elements if you care. I’m using Osram 100/90 bulbs. Super bright and you can find them pretty easy. The link at the bottom of the page says 4 dollars a piece but in my Amazon App they turn into 17 dollars a piece probably due to my location. You have 2 OEM headlight plugs, one on each side. The harness plugs into the driver one, nothing plugs into the passenger one when using the harness as the bulbs plug into the harness. Since nothing is plugged in, it is ‘exposed’. Most just wrap the front of the plug with electrical tape to keep any debris out.

I recommend ordering the bulbs from PowerBulbs. They have no tax and free shipping, and a 20-25% off code on their site, they are out of the U.K. They will properly package headlight bulbs with care, unlike Amazon who often throws them loose in an oversized box.

The Hella 130/90w bulbs were tested in the output charts posted in the original thread. They were the lowest performers in the chart above stock. The focus of the bulbs are poor. Vs the 85/80w being the best performers on the market with higher power and increased focus. The reason for the All Season was that there were no more standard 85/80w bulbs left, only All Season. While the color is easy on the eyes, they diffraction coating does cause increased glare as the high color temp light is diffracted above the pattern cut off.

    Just an FYI,
I have a set of the clear 100/80w Hella’s I haven’t tried in the Tacoma yet if you are interested?
One of the Hella’s is over 20 years old and from Germany the other is from Hungry I think. They are what I used in my 78 280Z and could light up overhead freeway signs from a mile away. Also if you tape off the end (the gray part) then use 0000 steel wool to polish off the yellow coating it works great. I do this to all my All Season 85/80w bulbs. Make sure you clean the bulbs with lots of rubbing alcohol and cotton balls to remove any oil that might be on the glass!

Anyone know the part number for OEM HEAD relay? I know it's early and I didn't sleep a lot last night, but I can't find this in search function. :pccoffee:

That is designed to convert a ground switched system like a Gen 1 uses to a conventional power switched system like a Gen 2 uses. I don't think it would work correctly in a conventional power switched vehicle. There are much cheaper harness out there, but most that are cheap are very low quality, using failure prone low quality relays and localized grounding with smaller wires and some without ceramic connectors. There are many inexpensive options on Amazon. While it is more expensive the Headlight Services harness quality is really top notch and I highly recommend it.
