What's the point in building a truck and spending lots of cash to make it look like everyone else's boring truck?? This is not ghetto!

Thanks for correcting this. My mistake. Yeah -25 mm offset.

Minor plastic fender liner rub on both sides almost at full lock. No cutting in my situation, heat gun and plastic massage took care of it.

Couple questions. Please don't flame. I've only got 1500 miles on my truck so I'm still getting used to the technology. Coming from manual 96 and 02 tacos, this thing is like a a spaceship to me.

    1. Anyone have a good recommendation for some inexpensive LOW profile flexible mud flaps? I thought about taking some off my 02, and retrofitting, but I cant take 20 year old flaps and throw them on my brand new ride. They are slim and flexible and they wont interfere with the work I did to massage my fender liners to eliminate rubbing at full lock. With the negative offset and no fender flares I feel that some protection is a necessary evil. I'm leaning toward these.

    2. After switching to 265/75/16 tires my truck seems to hunt for the ideal gear going uphill. This may sound stupid, but coming from a manual -- I always knew what gear is was in. Is there any indication on the dash or display as to what gear the truck is in. I'd like to see what's happening under different driving conditions, right now I'm just guessing. I'm not even sure my truck has ever even seen 6th gear yet.

My truck has also struggled with gear selection when I bumped up to 31's. If you want to know what gear you are in, slide the selector into "S" mode, and the dash should display the gear in the bottom left or right corner where the "D" normally is.

I put RekGen mud flaps on mine. I have the 2.7l and use the S mode and ect always on mod. Truck is much more enjoyable to drive. My 1st gen Tacoma was a manual 5 speed (RIP). I like to have some input while I'm driving my 3rd gen. S mode lets me do that.

Time to gain some UCA clearance.

Spidertrax spacers installed, no more rubbing!

Screenshot_20200708-202422_Toyota.jpg Screenshot_20200708-202438_Toyota.jpg I have a question. My 20 access cab sr doesnt seem to have an individual tire pressure readout anywhere on the display. However, I downloaded the Toyota app and it actually gives me an option to check my tire pressure. My question is does anyone have experience with this? I haven't been working much since covid, so after having my wheels and tires installed, I'd like to be certain that the sensors are reading in the right locations. Also I noticed that the pressure seems to fluctuate. I have all 4 corners set to 36 psi right now, but as you can see its reading different. Some days it will read 39, other days 37, today 34/36. Makes me wonder if the 180° sensor rotation is reliable for accurate readouts.

I’ve had plain old Plasticolor flaps on my truck for years now, recommended back then by other members. Low-profile, flexible, and pretty cheap; ~$15 for the large ones IIRC.

Got the front windows tinted today, I’m really happy with how it turned out. The rear factory tint measured 29% on their tint meter, so I decided to go with 20% up front to make up for all the light coming in through the windshield.

Left the kids with the grandparents; just me and the wife enjoying a weekend free in Alaska.

Side note: I’m definitely going to either regear or move back to 265/75r16’s. Towing through the hills was annoying with how much the truck downshifted and needed 3rd and 2nd for the uphills.
