Yep, never intended to crawl this one. Next one will be, Use it, break it?, fix it. Lol

 

Crawlers don’t break often . Use loctite on the front and rear driveshafts though. I’ve got four. One for the whole family.

perhaps a future in prop making is in your future.

 

Are you using a DSLR, or just a phone camera? If you can slow down the shutter speed and close down the aperture you should be able to get the deep focus you are looking for. Maybe shoot out in a desert so the terrain doesn't reveal the scaling.

I really appreciate that. Took me an entire winter since I had no idea what I was doing but it turned out a close match.

 

If you haven't already, you should check out Scale Builder's Guild. Your rig would fit right in there. Might even make it into the top builds hall of fame.

 

RC's aren't my thing, but have to say, super impressive. Phenomenal attention to detail, patience, and work. Very cool.

Was showing this thread to the wife, who always seems to reluctantly act interested when I show her stuff I've gone to the truck, or hunting things. Showed her your RC truck alone, and got the "yeah, that's nice" thing (because she thought it was just another truck). Then clued her into the fact it was a scale replica of your own truck, complete with all the tiniest details. She says "holy shit, that is super cool. You should do that".

Yeah, uhm no. That is taking attention to detail and patience to a whole other level I'm not sure I have (the patience anymore anyway). But I can appreciate attention to detail better than most I think. Thumbs up again.

 

I live alone in the mountains so it gave me something to do when it rains or snows for 5-6 months so I have plenty of time. Anyone can do it with a lot of time. Just wanted to have a minime and test myself to see if I could do it since I've never done this before.

 

Probably been addressed but if you're building these for sale I'll take one in blazing blue

 

Unfortunately since this was my first one and with my OCD it takes me way too long to make it worth while for you or myself. There are people on IG and FB who will.

 

Got him a big brother. First real RC other than my minime. I just have to learn how to drive. It's a little faster.
