    Happy Saturday TW!

I installed these aftermarket projectors last week:
    2LHP-TAC06SM-SQ-RS_900x.jpg

Right after install, I noticed my high beam indicator was on constantly (albeit slightly dimmer on low than on high). I also noticed both bulbs were illuminated on low and on high and the light output on low wasn't great. While checking relays and grounds, I noticed the connection on the headlight was mis wired from Spec-D. The ground was on the opposite side. I rewired my 3 prong connector on my truck harness and voila! The high beam indicator was only coming on with my high beams and the light output on low was great.

I notice now that when my highs are on, both the high beam bulb and low beam bulb (there's 2 bulbs in the assembly) illuminate. I asked Spec-D about this and they said they have run across some vehicles that energize both bulbs for high. Their website pictures point to one bulb being high and one being low. Seeing as my stock headlights had 1 dual filament bulb, I'm having trouble understanding if both bulbs should be on with the highs or not.

My question is this: are both bulbs supposed to be on when on high? I have read some mod write ups that have tweaked the wiring so both stay on when on high for greater light spread. I dont necessarily mind that both are on I just want to make sure something isn't amiss with the system.

Hey man I have the same headlights! They both say on when you turn on the high beams. That’s how the wiring is hooked up

Looks good! I'm glad to hear yours work the same way. I know some guys take time to mod their lights to work like that and so its an added bonus for us!
I did check the harness with my multimeter and saw power coming down both wires when on high so I assumed that was how they were wired but wasn't 100% sure.
I love em! Did your truck have stock DRL? Or did you wire that yourself? Or do the LEDs come on with your park lights? 20200125_105413.jpg

    Truck looks sexy!

I installed them myself. I had the same issue with the h4 prong but that was a simple fix. I also had to reseal mine do to a little moisture inside. Also gonna throw in some silica bags in the turn signal area.

Have you put some water on them yet? I’ve had 2 sets so far and they both have condensation issues. When it rained and dew point was low enough. I think the vent is screwed up. I even seal the turn and parking light

Thanks! Yeah I actually saw a little bit of moisture in them the other morn. We have a pretty dry climate here in Wyoming and I read that if they come from a wetter climate they can have some light condensation in them for a few days after install but it should dry out. I haven't put any water on them or had any rain yet. I emailed the company and he said they'd do an exchange if I want. I think i'm just gonna keep an eye on them for now and see how it goes. Huh, hopefully it goes away. If not, I'll try to dry em out and do a seal/moisture wick like you.

BTW I wired the DRL connector to an empty accessory slot in my fuse box with a fuse tap and my DRL are on anytime the key is on. That way i dont have to have my park lights on as well. I emailed Spec-D and they said that was fine.

That was my plan as well. I have tailgate lights Id like to keep
I still get a little after resealing them. I still think the vent is screwed up. I believe the silica pack should help! I’ll let you know if they work after a few days

Yeah I'll get one posted once it's done snowing ugh.

I'm pretty happy with the projection. It's much better light than my stock lights and I'm planning on upgrading the bulb at some point. The pattern is definitely different than the stock lights and it takes some time getting used to it. It's also crucial you get the aiming just right. Once they're dialed in it's great. Mine were basically plug and play. I dont have stock DRL and Spec-D recommends getting power for the led bar from the parking lights. Having to turn on your parking lights isn't true DRL though. So I used a fuse tap and tapped into an empty accessory slot on the fuse panel in the cab. That way the DRL led bar is lit all the time. Love it!

Not the best video. We have some frost at the moment so it blurs everything a bit but gives you the idea.

No I got them from Redline 360

    https://shop.redline360.com/product...-11-black-smoke-chrome?variant=30676220182608

Might be able to find them cheaper on Ebay. I haven't looked. There's been a lot of back and forth on these forums about them (or aftermarket projectors in general). I consider these a low to mid priced headlight and they perform pretty well. I'm of the type that doesn't need a crazy bright light though. I hate it when I get passed by someone running LEDs that arent aimed right and their fog lights on at the same time. I hardly ever use the my high beams as it is. I only use them with my wife in the truck to give her peace of mind. Kind of like a pirate, gotta keep one eye used to the dark or else you'll lose all night vision as soon as you turn on the brights lol

I was actually looking for black housing with clear lens, but that's sold out too lol.
They're available on ebay but I'm not sure about the warranty. I might just wait for redline360 to be back in stock if anything.
    Thank you for the help!

@airport7 did you ever seal the headlights? I am interested in getting those headlights as well and was wondering if they stopped getting moisture in them.

No, i never put any extra sealant around them. The little bit of moisture I saw cleared up. Must have just been trapped from factory/shipping and dried up. No problems since! We've had some real gully washer storms lately too. Love the sequential signals. I see people just starting at them while I'm at a light lol
