Rear running lights are legally required to be red only. Amber running lights are only permitted on the front of a vehicle.

That would be the end of my kneecaps but I know you're right... I should probably do it until the light gets sorted out.

So this is kind of why we shied away from a plug-and-play option. Everyone has a different way in which they would like to wire things in. However, I know that @MESO is hilariously busy, but since I'll be handling everything I MAY be interested in building that in for people who have a specific use case. Would certainly be an upcharge for time and materials though. Pretty sure I could do it without a whole ton of trouble.

For the product packages you could do:

Basic: the light w/ housing with a bare pigtail sticking out of the back
+1 pigtail crimped to a weatherpack style connector with it's mate crimped to an open ended pigtail and a blank to wire in as desired and sealed when needed
+2 add the connectors for the tail light T as a kit, end user wires and routes as they wish (that one's probably asking for a customer service nightmare though)

I would be more than happy with just a couple of wires that I could terminate anyway I wanted. 90% of the time, I end up changing the terminations anyway.

I have a red brake light in my hitch all winter, I used this Harness to pull power without having the 4 pin always in use.

This is the light I use, but replaced the 1057 bulb with a 2357 so it’s as bright as the stock tail lights.

I don’t mean to sound like a douche, but how are you going to offer new products if half of your site is already sold out and you’re not restocking them?

For sure sound like a douche. He does limited-runs and his products are popular.

Meso, keep making new stuff. This is a dope concept to utilize some often wasted space.

Looks like rigid industries and a couple other companies make stuff similar to this. The Meso has a nice clean look and would probably be my first choice but if you can’t get one there are other things on the market.

Because this is little different than most of my other products which typically have many more moving parts including molding, Testing, assembly, QC, packaging, etc. A drop in reverse lights wouldn’t take up too much of my time because it’s just a 3D printed housing and an off the shelf light. But I do hear you on the out of stock items. I’m trying my best to keep up, but in between production cycles I like to keep my brain stimulated and design other cool gadgets(which may or may not ever become available)

    Technically 4th;)
But ya..if you got a red lens you could make it into a rain/F1/4th Brake. Although you DEFINITELY need to get some type of diffused lens and I would be borderline blinding which may/may not be legal in your area.
