Truck has been giving me CEL after a few days sitting idle.Codes read P0442 very small leak and P0446.

Aside from the warning light I sometimes get a whiff of exhaust fumes (think burn ammonia). I did some digging and found this thread (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/p0446-code-what-do-i-check-first.209633/page-2) but unfortunately for me NCTORA links for the FSM don't work anymore and I'm not sure about the locations of the VSVs.

Can someone provide link to the FSM? Any advice on testing the VSV? Anyone got VSV locations?

Here's a pic of the Purge Selnoid valve (VSV)
And a link to EVAP malfunction

Test voltage to purge Selnoid with multi meter.
Test Purge Selnoid with 9v battery by applying 9v and check for air flow when open and no flow when closed as indicated by clicking of Selnoid.
    Good gas cap seal?
    Vac lines leaking?
    1psi smoke test for leaks?

haven’t done smoke test. Gas cap is oem and is about a year old. I doubt that’s the culprit.

Theres three VSVs right? Two in the engine bay and one by the Cat? Is it legit that you can hear the valve click to confirm function by applying 9v?

Gas cap can fool you. Examine the Oring and metal spout seating surface closely. 9v battery test is legit, it clicks, but misleading sometimes as mine checked out good on test but was working/leaking intermittent. VSV for EVAP is the Purge Selnoid. 2nd VSV is for EGR function. What is this 3rd VSV you speak of by catalytic converter?
