    Relocating

You know what they say about straight chicks being like spaghetti noodles right?

Jk though. Just relocating to the NOVA/DC area for a few months.

Gonna need to find a few of those parks like the one I found in Richmond though. It was fun this morning and working out surrounded by nature was nice.

No no no. It's that you always cook more noodles than you actually need. Duhhhhhhhh

something like that: straight, until wet, like spaghetti noodles

^^ me with rice all the freaking time!!! It always gets finished but I always run out if the accompanying item (smothered pork chops for example) before I run out of rice and always end up with a container of plain rice as a leftover

Why does someone need a spotter when squatting on a smith machine?

Mannnn any of you guys running the trouble getting back in shape (comp ready/stage ready) after this pandemic?

honestly I’ve invested all my time in my truck to even worry about training.

How are you guys getting back into things cause i would rather spend all the stuff I need to get in shape into my truck lol if I’m Honest.

Took some notes from my session with Terry Rady. He gave me a lot of new cues with my deadlift on how to activate my quads and upper back more. Did some 90-95% pulls today for singles and it felt great.

Gonna try his log press cues on Wednesday.

Eh, it's tough but it's coming along. As to cost, the gym is much cheaper than almost any truck upgrades so they don't mix in my mind.

Then spend your money on your truck and just do some push-ups.

    I couldn’t agree more.

The only use for a Smith Machine is to have a place to gossip around at a PF

I live for cardio so that takes zero motivation.
I was having a hard time with lifting till I got into the gym again. Once I walked in I was back.

Me me me. Slowly easing back into it. Dropped 10lbs. Going to the gym 3-4 days a week finally. Still not as pumped and into it as I was when I was getting ready for my first comp but it’s slowly coming back. Ain’t easy though for sure man

That's right! Get back out there.

It's really a tough call. It can take a lot of time and money. If neither of those is an issue, I say go for it.

I wouldn't have gone if I didn't intend to practice. But there are so many other careers where the law degree is a fantastic feather in the cap. I would say half of my law school classmates are not practicing attorneys in the traditional sense. They work in politics, policy, consulting, gov't, gov't contracting, etc. But I think that's the nature of the beast in DC.

I have been back for 4 weeks. Still slow for me... I'm getting much better week by week. Keep your head up and find ways to get after it without killing yourself. I've taken more days off too, not normal for me as I do 5-6 days. Just ease into it and if you need a day you need it, I think that's helped me the most.
