I've never seen them made by someone blading too fast. They get made around here by people gassing their vehicle too hard on loose gravel.

It lived a good, albeit brief, life!

 

Rivnuts set, now to just wait for lights. Should be here Wednesday. I perfectly spaced them so there will be a 3” gap in between each light, and each light is 3” wide. Should be satisfying.

 

They need painted.

But you are onto something, and I like where you're going. What about some styrofoam pipe wrap? Those are like less than $3. A package of 4. You could cut them to fit different angles. They're a grayish black too.
