I'm not sure what brand it is, but I've seen them on Ford Rangers. It's one of the 5 piece rollbars with the front mushroom section (2 pieces) and rear leg section (3 pieces). It's narrower than I thought it would be since the Ranger is a slightly wider bed vs the Tacoma. I think I want to widen it (4-8") so it's closer to the bedside and matches the cab outline better and raise the front mushroom section 2-4" to help clear the 3rd brake light and level it out. The rear leg flanges aren't flat so I think if I can elongate the bolt holes and rotate them slightly they will end up flat. If I like the way it comes out, I might get the sections welded together (I would still leave the front and rear sections separate since they bolt together at the light mounting flanges). Does anybody happen to know what brand rollbar (or lightbar really) this is? I can see a sticker on the one pipe section but it's painted over.

My gut says universal, maybe a Go Rhino. All of the regular suspects bolt to the rail system.

I propped it up and moved the whole bar to the driver's side to see what it would look like widened and lifted. I took some quick pics as a storm was starting to roll in.

Man, I like that truck, nice and compact! IF I didn't have a need to store all kinds of crap in the back seat of my access cab, I'd love to have a standard cab, short bed. I just think they look cool.

I dig it. Reminds me of so many Toyota, Datsun/Nissan, Rangers, etc.....from back in the mid to late 80s

One of the nicest reg cabs I've seen, especially with the rollbar

So I took a bunch of measurements today trying to center the rollbar the way it is bolted together and then moved it all the way to one side to see where the bolt holes would be if I decided to widen it. It looks like I can actually bolt it in using the outside flange holes (I would only do 1 bolt per flange) and then if I decide to widen it, the inside flange holes would line up with where the outside flange hole were. And if I lift it up an inch they still all line up as well. I spent some time straightening out the mounting flanges and I need to get some new bolts the right size to get it bolted together nice and tight before I start drilling any holes in the bed.

So I got the bar bolted in for the time being. I still think I want to widen it so the rear bars are sitting up on the wheelwells farther out. Even for a bolt together bar, it's really solid. I've driven it twice with the bar in it and it sure seems like some rattles and clunking has gone away. Since this is only bolted to the bed in 4 places, I wouldn't expect that unless the bed really does flex that much.

I was able to widen the rollbar by creating a couple of splice pipes to go inside. I used some 3" od exhaust tubing and crimped the ends down to around 2-3/4" od by squeezing it with exhaust clamps. That was a bit of a workout and I stripped the threads off a couple of new clamps. I grabbed some 1" thick aluminum plate off Ebay and cut it into 5x5 and 4x5 blocks to go under the flanges and lift the bar up. It's in there really snug and tight so I don't know if I will bother having it welded.
