Same here in a way.. I have a new Denso in the box waiting for the Taco's aftermarket radiator to eventually go. Would rather be ready for when the time comes.

Oreilly is getting big. Just plopped a huge distribution center in my city a few years back, with stores popping up everywhere.

Advanced is much bigger on the east coast. Based in Raleigh, stores everywhere out here. I dont shop there much though cause pretty much all of their deals require you to buy online. I prefer shopping at Napa since Im a stones throw away from a distribution center and almost never have to wait on parts. Next choice is Oreilly.

Never been much satisfied with Autozone parts. Seems they source the Duralast stuff from the cheapest overseas bidder. Just my opinion.

Oreilly's slated to build a new store right by my house sometime soon. Be nice to have an autoparts store within walking distance if I need it.

Haven't really had any issues with the Duralast stuff yet. Once that Oreilly's is built near me, then I won't be using Autozone any longer. Wish there was a Napa closer to me as that would be my preferred place to shop locally.

I'd say 04 was the last year MTD was a real contender in the lawn and garden industry.. they started cutting corners in the early 2000s, they sold off ryobi in 03 and shuffled manufacturing around alot until the closed the TN plant and started having engines made in china in 08. Now they've got Stanley black and decker making decisions for what good for the shareholders not the customers

Honestly for most everything you see today, what with all the sell offs and absorbtions in the industry, the early 2000s was the end of an era for quality homeowner lawn and garden stuff

I hate Duralast CV axles with a passion. They don't have the grooves in the housing like the OEM ones do (and most other aftermarket brands), so they are a bitch and a half to pop out/pop in.

probably, but a perfect example of where a small shortcut for savings ends up costing you more in frustration and time lol.
