As far as the bluetooth mic. Using the Kenwood DDX9903s..i placed the mic everywhere i could to avoid running to the factory location. Seems that Toyota got one thing right and that is the mic placement. Every test from the A-frame to the steering column..all was either muffled or echoed. Once I nutted up and ran it to just in front of the rear view mirror..clip slipped between the top and the sunglass holder. There tested out with 0 echo...perfect quality...even better than the factory. I couldnt be more pleased.

hopefully this is still active. Need to know what people did for amp turn on wire? Instructions show to hook up the remote (amp turn on) wire from the headunit harness to the maestro harness. did anyone just split off that connection?

It has been a while since i did it, but i am pretty sure that that is what i did. Blue wire from head unit harness connected to blue wire to maestro and blue wire to amp. So, you would have a total of 3 wires at one connection.

Sorry. I don't remember. Maybe that is for cars that have motorized antennas. But I don't know.

Are you able to access the features to allow the driver door and key fob to choose to unlock or lock all doors?

I'm about to trash the factory unit - it's a POS. Will this unit read from the factory USB port?

I'm about to do something similar. May I ask where you placed the new bluetooth mic? Do those you call hear you well? I'm hesitant to do anything behind the A pillar, but I also had an install on a previous vehicle and placed the mic right behind the steering wheel. I always got complaints that people couldn't hear me on calls. Thanks!

I put it up by the sun visor. Never had any complaints on calls.

I seem to be missing the black wire from the install of my Maestro RR into my 2020 SR.

    Capture.jpg

Anyone know which one of these connectors I should be attaching to, and wtf they do?!
    20210403_023709.jpg

Lastly, does EVERY 2020 Tacoma model have GPS. Because this looks like a factory GPS plug, and I only have an SR Utility.
    20210403_023741.jpg

Lasty lastly... Anyone know for what this unused harness all the way in the back of the head unit cavity is used?

I did some digging, and I think my original question is answered. I believe the harness is a vestigial rear-speaker harness.
