I have a 2015 tacoma 4wd and I would like some feedback on what lift I should get. I dont do any crazy offroading, however i do take my truck on a substantial amount of hunting/camping trips throughout the year. I was thinking a 3 inch lift but my biggest concern was getting the truck level. Anything under a thousand bucks??

    4 run, 2 don't
A quality set of all terrain tires that are bigger than your current set.

If you go with 1" larger tires, you'll gain 1/2" of lift.

That and tires will provide you much more benefit than a lift will especially with the way you use your truck; not to mention it fits the budget.

If your current strut/shocks are still in good condition the above advice I spot on, if you've got worn out equip. then I'd look at Bilstein 5100 series

Thanks for the feedback. I do plan on getting a little bigger tire after I install the lift. I do not want to leave the stock suspension and just get bigger tires though. I want to level the truck out and add a couple inches of ground clearance. A friend of mine recommended the toytec/bilstein 5100 3inch kit. Someone else also recommended the rough country n3 kit. Any thoughts?

I ran the toytec 2.0 on mine for a bit and was pretty impressed with it, I just wanted more so I moved up. We put the r/c kit on 1 of my buddys trucks a few yrs back, it's still going strong and it see's regular offroad/ fire road use

5100s, OME coils (which # depends on what cab you have), SPC light racing UCAs.

Keep in mind that for lifts over 2" its highly recommended to get new UCAs (that accommodate 2"+ lifts) to keep alignment close to spec, if not you'll probably wander all over the road and pre-maturely wear out tires.

Cheap lifts are.. cheap. Do your research and save yourself from spending more money down the road.

    Here's my 2.5" lift I did on a '15.

I really don't want to start a control arm war here, I'll just state what I've done before my current set up! I ran Toytec 2.0 std. travel w/650 springs @ 2.25-2.5" lift with .25 top spacer for right @ 3" of lift, I tried a set of tough country arms, yep got good alignment but couldn't keep the tires out of the fenders without a CMC and I didn't want to do that. I went back to my factory UCA's maxed out caster & the truck did fine, the steering was a little quicker but still fine, I put @ 10k miles hwy driving on this set up. I do have axle shims w/ my OME med springs, but no carrier bearing drop & I'm not using the front diff spacers. Like stated not saying anyone is incorrect, just giving my advice on budget friendly suspension that I've had personal experience with.
