Hey all! As I've been getting to know my 2017 PRO, I have started my list of changing parts out and modifying as I like to do. I'm wanting to change some of the PRO parts and wanted to know your opinion. I want something louder for the exhaust (thinking the MBRP high clearance exhaust) and maybe some wheels this winter with a negative offset (-12). I know I can sell the rims, but what do you think about the TRD Pro exhaust that came with my truck. I have 10,000 miles on it, and ebay/the internet shows it is pretty pricey to buy. I have the chrome tip. What is a fair price to list/sell it for in Utah? $400? Enjoy a pic of my truck!

I have not heard it in person so I am not sure how bad it'd be, but I usually have my music pretty loud and cannot hear my current exhaust at all inside. Other people like that which works for them, but I like noise. I know other exhaust drone sounds like my motorcycle (exhaust tip is right at the seat) and I hear that through the whole ride and it doesnt bother me

Cab drone is resonance in the cab. Think of it as reverberation or a drumb beating at your ear drums. It's not really about how loud the exhaust is. I've experienced cab drone from a relatively quiet system. Loud music won't drown out cab drone but to each their own

If you want loud cut the exhaust just behind the cat

Yeah, I wanted an OR but the dealership I went to sold me one that was coming down from Idaho, and then that dealership sold it on the spot to someone else after they filed the paperwork to ship it so I got shafted for nothing. Then I found a used pro for a good deal and jumped on it. But because I was originally going to get an OR, I still want to change the cool things I found for the OR on my PRO

Check out the Gibson exhaust. I love it and it doesn't drone at all.

thanks for the clarification but Im still not too worried about it. I was just wondering what to expect out of the pro exhaust if I were to sell it used, since I know there are people that would appreciate an exhaust without worrying about a droning noise.

I hadnt heard of Gibson before but it looks good. I like the high clearance option of MBRP, but have also heard that there can be rust issues.
How loud is the Gibson? I'm not completely sold on any exhaust yet, but I definitely want something louder

Gibson is pretty quiet, but if you chop it you get a nice rumble. I have no complaints at all. Nice lil power boost too.

yeah, that could work. I'm not too huge a fan of permanent changes and cutting if I can help it, but I guess it can always be welded back on. lol. but then I wonder if that would cause a drone putting the exhaust tip closer to the cab?

I did a google search and found @dirtydeeds so I might be looking into that for an exhaust system now. Any input about their exhaust options?

So you want louder than the TRD exhaust?

    Eww.

For the wheels, get a cheap set and put your winter tires on them so when they go to shit, they're cheap to replace.

I bought a trd pro cat back exhaust with about 6000 miles on it for $275. Off Craig’s list.

Personally, I’ve never heard an aftermarket exhaust system that sounded good on our trucks. IMO I would keep your Pro exhaust but if you do decide to sell I think $300 is a fair price for a system with 10K on it.

It has never droned in 30k miles. My old flowmaster droned terribly and cost way more. Gibson!

OP could probably trade for an MBRP exhaust straight-up in the buy/sell/trade forum.
